An EGR cooler (1) of the present invention is positioned in a central area which divides a cooling water chamber (11) of an EGR cooler housing (10), in which cooling water circulates, into two spaces; is able to reduce costs by reducing the quantity of EGR tubes by an optimization of the primary exhaust gas cooling function of a pre-cooler (20) by including the pre-cooler (20) which is discharged as primarily cooled exhaust gas by a heat exchange action between the cooling water and heated exhaust gas which comes from an exhaust system; and mitigates thermal load damage caused by the heated exhaust gas by completely surrounding the inlet hole and discharge hole of the pre-cooler (20) with the circulating cooling water. |
