PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheath material capable of simultaneously preventing a pin hole by flexure from occurring and gas barrier from lowering, so that a vacuum heat insulation material can maintain a high vacuum state even after a use in an extended period. ! SOLUTION: A sheath material 1 of a vacuum heat insulation material includes a surface protective layer 10, a barrier layer 20, and a sealant layer 30 in this order from outside. The surface protective layer is used with an oriented polypropylene film 11 and an oriented nylon film 12 laminated thereon. The barrier layer is used with an alumina vapor deposition polyethylene terephthalate film 21 and an aluminum vapor deposition ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer film 22 laminated thereon. !
