The invention devises a method for determining a closing state of a house door (10) or of a house window (20), comprising the following method steps: detecting (S1) a rate of rotation of the house door (10) or of the house window (20) with the aid of a first detection device (1) and calculating an opening angle of the house door (10) or of the house window (20) by using the rate of rotation detected, and determining whether the calculated opening angle falls below a predetermined angular threshold value; detecting (S2) a rate of vibration of the house door (10) or of the house window (20) with the aid of a second detection device (2), and determining whether, from the rate of vibration detected, a predetermined rate of vibration threshold value is exceeded within a predetermined first time period; and determining (S3) whether, from the detected rate of rotation, a predetermined rate of rotation threshold value is exceeded within a predetermined second time interval since the rate of vibration threshold value was exceeded. |
