<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply unit suppressing a discharge vibration phenomenon to stably operate a hole thruster which is an ion accelerator. <P>SOLUTION: The power supply unit 1 comprises an anode power source 2 applying anode voltage Va to an anode electrode 12; coil power sources 3, 4 feeding a coil current Ic to a coil for generating the magnetic field; and a gas flow control device 5 and a control device 9 for regulating gas flow Q through a gas flow regulator 15. The control device 9 controls the anode voltage Va, gas flow Q and coil current Ic in accordance with functions associated with the anode voltage Va, gas flow Q and coil current Ic, and adjusts an ion accelerating amount of the hole thruster 11 which is the ion accelerator. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
