PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in which: when processing is performed to determine the toner mounting amount of image data and then change the toner mounting amount of the image data, the difference occurs between the determined toner mounting amount and the toner mounting amount to be used in actual printing, which prevents the accurate temperature control of a fixing unit.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus controlling the temperature of a fixing unit determines whether or not image data is a copy-inhibited image on the basis of the amount of color material obtained from the image data, and when determined that the image data is a copy-inhibited image as a result of the determination, controls the temperature of the fixing unit so that the temperature of the fixing unit becomes a predetermined temperature without using the amount of color material obtained from the image data. |
