The present invention relates to a method for preparing a platinum/tin/metal/alumina catalyst and a method for preparing C4 olefin by the catalyst, wherein the catalyst is to prepare C4 olefin (1-butene, 2-butene, i-butene, and 1,3-butadiene) through direct dehydrogenation of n-butane. More particularly, the present invention relates to a method for preparing a platinum/tin/metal/alumina catalyst and a method for preparing a higher value-added C4 olefin through direct dehydrogenation of cheap n-butane by using the catalyst prepared by the method, wherein the catalyst is prepared by using platinum, as an active ingredient, having a high activity on direct dehydrogenation of n-butane; tin to block sintering of platinum particles and to maintain platinum particles at a small size to enhance dispersivity thereby increasing an amount of an active site for dehydrogenation and inhibiting carbon deposition, whereby the stability of the catalyst is improved; a metal to additionally reduce the degree of inactivation according to reaction time of the catalyst; and an alumina carrier known as being suitable for direct dehydrogenation of n-butane as a carrier for supporting the catalyst, wherein the alumina carrier may have high thermal/mechanical stability and maintain high platinum dispersivity. |
