Use of a tube comprising a fluoropolymer grafted by irradiation for the fuel transport in a gas station

The use for the transport of petrol at a service station between storage tanks and the pumps and between the pumps and customer vehicles of a pipe comprising an interior layer in contact with the fluid to be transported consisting of a fluorinated polymer onto which has been irradiation grafted an unsaturated monomer and directly attached to it an exterior layer of polyolefin. - Variant structures for the pipe are - (1) a layer of fluorinated polymer adjacent to the grafted polymer; - (2) a central layer of the grafted polymer and directly attached to it interior and exterior coats of polyolefin; - (3) a central layer of polyolefin with layers of the grafted polymer on either side and a layer of fluorinated polymer attached to at least one of the grafted polymer layers. The grafted polymer may in all cases be substituted by a mixture of it and a fluorinated polymer, preferably polyvinylidene fluoride. - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for the pipe with a central layer of olefin.
