<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tilting gravity casting method which makes molten metal excellent in filling ability and sufficiently prevents generation of cast defects in a casting. <P>SOLUTION: In a tilting gravity casting apparatus 1 including a mold 2 equipped with a ladle 7, the molten metal M is stored in the ladle 7, and the molten metal M is poured into a cavity 6 in the mold 2 through a gate 5 when the mold 2 is tilted. In the tilting gravity casting method using the tilting gravity casting apparatus 1, a pressurizing step of pressurizing the molten metal M in the cavity 6 with a pressurizing pin 23 is started while shutting the gate 5 with a shutting member 18 before a mold tilting step of tilting the mold 2 is completed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
