The device (10) has a locking device for fixing a data storage medium to or in the retaining device. A releasing unit (15) is arranged for removing fixing effect of the locking device, so as to release the data storage medium, where the releasing unit is activated by an electronic key (30). An actuating element (11) is actuated by mechanical force acting on the data storage medium by a mold element (25). The retaining device is designed in such a manner that a communication between the data storage medium and the retaining deice is allowed only when the actuating element is actuated.
