<p>The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for controlling calls in a portable terminal and, more particularly, to a method and an apparatus for controlling incoming calls in a portable terminal. The present invention includes a method for controlling call modes in the portable terminal, which comprises: a step of checking the arrival of an incoming call; a call mode display step for displaying a call mode selection menu on a screen when the incoming call has arrived; a call command recognition step for recognizing a call initiation command accompanied by the selection of a call mode on the screen; and a step of receiving the incoming call through the selected call mode when the call initiation command is generated. According to various embodiments of the present invention, the portable terminal displays incoming call notification and icons of incoming call modes on the screen when detecting an incoming call, and if the icon of a call mode is selected, can provide a service of the corresponding call mode. As a result, the portable terminal enables a user to select a call mode and make a call connection at the same time, thereby enabling the user to establish a call more easily in a manner that is suitable for the purpose of the call or for the current situation.</p> |
