The present disclosure relates to a method and an apparatus for controlling a user interface. To this end, the method of controlling a user interface of an electronic device according to the present invention includes: displaying a drawing object formed by trajectories input through a touch screen, and controlling the user interface by applying different functions to a drawing object area and the other remaining areas in the touch screen.
