PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aquatic organism breeding system, a method for starting the same, and an aquatic organism breeding unit, in which excrement of aquatic organisms can be converted into harmless materials and circulated, and the need for water exchange processing is eliminated semipermanently or over a long term without separately providing a device for covering a filtering function.SOLUTION: An aquatic organism breeding system 1 comprises: an aerobic layer 6 formed below a breeding water holding tank 2 for holding a breeding water 9 containing organic material derived from organisms, and being an aerobic environment and having aerobic bacteria inhabited therein; an absolute anaerobic layer 4 formed below this aerobic layer 6, and being an anaerobic environment and having absolute anaerobic bacteria inhabiting therein, and comprising andosol 40; an anaerobic space 3 being an anaerobic environment, and in which the absolute anaerobic bacteria inhabiting the absolute anaerobic layer 4 and products generated by the absolute anaerobic bacteria flow; a facultative anaerobic layer 5 formed between the aerobic layer 6 and the absolute anaerobic layer 4, and having facultative anaerobic bacteria inhabiting therein; and a pipe 8 for bringing a breeding space 90 into communication with the anaerobic space 3. |
