The present invention relates to a lysine enzyme variant having enhanced bacteriolytic or antibacterial activity against pathogenic bacteria, and to use thereof. The lysine enzyme variant includes amino acids of SEQ ID NO:1 from which one or more from 66th, 74th, 81th, 94th, 112th, 177th, 193th or 204th amino acid are substituted. The lysine enzyme variant of the present invention can be widely used for a pharmaceutical composition, an antiseptic agent, an antibiotic, and antibacterial agent. Therefore, the lysine enzyme variant is expected to be advantageously used in industries.
