摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color gamut adjustment method which can perform more natural video expression on the assumption that a dynamic range of a display gamut is fully utilized.SOLUTION: With respect to a luminance signal of each original color comprising an input video signal, a data conversion part 31 executes matrix operation based on a transformed matrix and converts the signal into an image signal for display control. In so doing, a saturation calculation part 32 calculates saturation S of the input video signal. A matrix generation part 33 sets to the data conversion part 31 a transformed matrix which makes tone on the display the same as or similar to tone of the input video signal when the saturation S is below threshold PL and when the saturation is equal to or larger than the threshold PL and below a maximal value, switches the transformed matrix so that a vector going to the tone on the display on an xy chromaticity diagram approaches a vector going to tone in the case of the maximum saturation, and sets it to a tone adjustment part 31.</p>
