A heterocyclic compound wherein three five-membered rings are fused to one benzene ring and a saturated or unsaturated ring is fused to each five-membered ring. An organic electroluminescence device includes one or more organic thin film layers between an anode and a cathode. The one or more organic thin film layers include a light emitting layer. At least one layer of the one or more organic thin film layers includes the heterocyclic compound.

1. A heterocyclic compound represented by formula (1):wherein:
each of A1 to A3 independently represents a saturated or unsaturated ring, and each of A1 to A3 is optionally substituted with a substituent; each of X1 to X3 independently represents a linking group represented by any of formulae (2) to (5), and one or two of X1 to X3 are represented by formula (2) and the rest is represented by any of formulae (3) to (5): in formula (2), Y1 represents a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group having 6 to 50 ring carbon atoms or a substituted or unsubstituted heteroaryl group having 5 to 50 ring atoms; and in formula (3), each of Y2 and Y3 independently represents a hydrogen atom or a group, Y2 and Y3 are optionally bonded to each other to form a ring structure, and each of Y1 to Y3 is optionally bonded to the substituent of A1 to A3 to form a ring structure.
