<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently producing a furan derivative useful as a functional chemical such as for medical/agrochemical agents, and electronic materials. <P>SOLUTION: This furan derivative having an aromatic substituent at 2, 5-positions is produced by reacting an aromatic compound with a succinic acid derivative under the irradiation of a microwave in the presence of an acid catalyst. As the catalyst, a solid acid catalyst such as zeolite can be used and as the zeolite, a β type or the like is preferable. Also, it is possible to perform the reaction in a good efficiency without performing the microwave irradiation depending on the kind of the catalyst. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
