When providing branch guidance to a user driving a vehicle, this navigation device uses a method that makes it easy for the user to understand the branch guidance. More specifically, presenting a preceding vehicle using an actual image or a graphic image of a vehicle that is the same as that actually seen by a user driving a traveling vehicle allows the user to understand that the user should follow the preceding vehicle actually traveling in front of the user, prevents the user from mistaking a branch point, and makes route guidance easy to understand. |
