PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide methods for treating an individual having a disease, disorder or condition which is caused by, or is associated with an inappropriate or undesirable immune response, or at risk of developing, by using isolation placental stem cells, a population of placental stem cells and the like.SOLUTION: A method comprises a step of administering a therapeutically effective amount of placental stem cells or culture medium acclimated with placental stem cells to an individual. The placental stem cells are CD10+, CD34-, CD105+, and CD200+ placental stem cells. When a population of placental cells comprising the stem cells is cultured under conditions that allow for the formation of an embryoid-like body, by facilitating the formation of one or more embryoid-like bodies in the population, or by expressing OCT-4 when the population is cultured under conditions that allow for the formation of an embryoid-like body, the formation of one or more embryoid-like bodies in the population is promoted. |
