PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuously variable transmission having a breather structure appropriate for a four-node linkage type continuously variable transmission.SOLUTION: A continuously variable transmission 1 includes: a transmission case 30 for supporting an input shaft 2 and an output shaft 3; and a differential mechanism case 59 adjacent to the transmission case 30 across one end wall 32 as a boundary wall. In the differential mechanism case 59, a breather structure 60 is provided which communicates with the transmission case 30 via a notch 53 of the one end wall 32. The notch 53 provides the transmission case 30 with flexibility to restrict an alignment error in a one end input-side bearing 42 for supporting one end side of the input shaft 2.
