The present invention relates to a method for mobile terminal automatic adaptation for network switchover and a mobile terminal. The method comprises: when no wireless local area network signal is present or the signal strength of a wireless local area network signal is less than a predetermined value, the mobile terminal acquires mobile communication network interface information of a mobile communication unit of the mobile terminal; the mobile terminal determines an interface type corresponding to the acquired interface information; and, the mobile terminal controls the communication unit thereof, on the basis of a network connection scheme corresponding to the determined interface type, to switch from the wireless local area network and to connect to a mobile communication network. This implements on the mobile terminal a switchover of networks and allows a user to fulfill a need for connection to the Internet at anytime and anywhere. |
