A wetness notification system for use with a clothing article (e.g. a diaper, nappy or pants) includes a detection unit 2, a detachable clip unit 3 and a receiver unit 4. The detection unit includes a sleeve body 21, a moisture detector 22 and a casing 23 containing a processor (24, Fig 3) with a wireless transmitter (25, Fig 3) electrically connected to it and a battery (26, Fig 3) which provides power to the moisture detector; the processor being configured to cause the wireless transmitter to transmit a signal output from the moisture detector when the signal indicates a moist condition. The detachable clip unit attaches the detection unit onto the clothing article and comprises a first portion (31, Fig 2) which is inserted into the sleeve body, a curved second portion (32, Fig 2) and a third portion (33, Fig 2). The casing is removably disposed on the third portion so that in use it sits on an outer side of the clothing article. The receiver unit includes a wireless receiver (41, Fig 3), a controller (42, Fig 3), and a notification module 43; wherein when the controller receives the moisture signal via the wireless receiver it drives the notification module to output a wetness notification signal. |
