The present invention is concerned with isotactic polypropylene random copolymers modified with a specific class of a-crystal nucleating agents, said copolymers being characterized by high impact strength and good transparency while retaining or even increasing stiffness. It is also concerned with a process for modifying said copolymers with said specific class of a-crystal nucleating agents.
