A wireless transceiver includes at least one RF transceiver section that generates an outbound RF signal based on outbound data and that generates inbound data based on an inbound RF signal. A configuration controller configures the wireless transceiver, by configuring the wireless transceiver to identify a plurality of communication paths to a remote station, the plurality of communication paths including at least one indirect communication path through at least one intermediate station; configuring the wireless transceiver to communicate with the remote station based on a first path of the plurality of communication paths; and configuring the wireless transceiver to communicate with the remote station based on a second path of the plurality of communication paths. |

1. A wireless transceiver comprising:
at least one RF transceiver section that generates an outbound RF signal based on outbound data and that generates inbound data based on an inbound RF signal; a configuration controller, coupled to the RF transceiver section, for configuration of the wireless transceiver, wherein the configuration includes:
configuring the wireless transceiver to identify a plurality of communication paths to a remote station, the plurality of communication paths including at least one indirect communication path through at least one intermediate peer station on a peer-to-peer basis, without an intermediate access point or base station;configuring the wireless transceiver to communicate with the remote station based on a first path of the plurality of communication paths; andconfiguring the wireless transceiver to communicate with the remote station based on a second path of the plurality of communication paths. |
