Provided is a solid electrolytic capacitor including an anode body formed of conductive powder, a dielectric on and/or in the anode body, an attached coating on the dielectric, and a solid electrolyte on the attached coating. The powder has a high specific charge so has a packing structure of relatively high density. Although the body is formed of that kind of powder, inventors of the present invention found that a conductive polymer is able to easily break into pores of an anode. This is partially achieved by using a discontinuous pre-coating layer in the attached coating on the dielectric. The pre-coating layer includes multiple discrete oxidation manganese nano-projections (e.g. manganese dioxide). |
