A method and a device for removing macro virus are provided. The method includes: obtaining a data flow of a file; determining whether the macro virus needs to be further searched for by determining whether a macro identification exists in the data flow; in a case that the macro identification exists in the data flow, determining whether the file is a file with macro virus; and converting the file into a file without macro virus if the file is a file with macro virus. In this way, the searching efficiency for the macro virus is significantly increased, and information loss is avoided. |
