PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a film that can be used for a detection system using polarized light in an infrared wavelength region so as to achieve high sensitivity and to reduce erroneous detection regardless of an ambient environment.SOLUTION: A circularly polarized light separation film is provided, which selectively transmits either right-handed circularly polarized light or left-handed circularly polarized light in at least a part of a near infrared wavelength region. The circularly polarized light separation film comprises: a visible light absorption layer that absorbs light in at least a part of a visible light wavelength region; and a circularly polarized light separation layer that selectively transmits either right-handed polarized light or left-handed polarized light in at least a part of the near infrared wavelength region.
