FIELD: physics.SUBSTANCE: system comprises a polarisation beam splitter, a polarisation rotator and a polarisation switch. The polarisation beam splitter is capable of transmitting first light beams with a first state of polarisation (SOP) on a first light beam path and reflect second light beams with a second SOP on a second light beam path. The polarisation rotator is placed on the second light beam path and is capable of converting the second SOP into the first SOP.
