PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal which can reduce occurrence of malfunction based on input from a touch pad.SOLUTION: A portable terminal comprises a touch pad for outputting a value indicating a degree of contact, when the contact is detected, specifies a first range as a candidate of a target range corresponding to processing to be executed on the basis of the value indicating the degree of the contact output from the touch pad among ranges where the contact is detected on the touch pad, and determines the range of any of first and second ranges as the target range according to the value indicating the degree of the contact of the second range, if the contact of the second range which adjoins the first range in a predetermined direction is detected until the contact of the first range is detached. |
