PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article storage facility capable of being cleaned in all storage parts evenly even if the cleaning is interrupted half-way. SOLUTION: In the article storage facility including an article storage shelf having a plurality of the storage parts, an article conveying device for carrying in and out an article, a storage part cleaning means that is transferred to the storage parts by the article conveying device and cleans the storage part to which the storage part cleaning means is transferred, and a control means for controlling the operation of the article conveying device, there is provided a cleaning history retaining means for retaining cleaning history information, and the control means is configured in such a manner that it can freely switch between a normal operation state in which an article is carried in or out and a cleaning operation state in which the cleaning means is transferred. In the cleaning operation state, the control means extracts the storage part that meets a cleaning subject extraction condition in which the extraction is made by prioritizing a storage part that has been cleaned the earliest based on the cleaning history information, and causes the storage part cleaning means to be transferred to the storage part to be cleaned.
