A hood hair dryer 1 comprises a hood 3 having spaced apart inner and outer walls (2, 4, fig.2) defining an air channel there between, and a hose 5 connected at a first end to the outer wall 4 of the hood 3. The inner wall 2 comprises a plurality of holes (13, fig.2) for directing air from the air channel onto a head of a user. The hose 5 comprises a collar (6, fig.3) at a second end for mounting to an air delivery conduit of a hair dryer 8. The collar 6 is resiliently circumferentially expandable and comprises a friction-enhancing material (29, fig.4) exposed on an inner surface of the collar for contacting a surface of the air delivery conduit of a hair dryer. The friction-enhancing material may be silicone rubber. There are preferably between 125 and 160 holes 13 on the inner wall of the hood, and they are preferably arranged in rows and columns or equidistantly spaced. Ventilation holes 10 may be provided on the hose 5.
|
