The present invention relates to a mobile device which can transform a plurality of window forms displayed on a display part through a simple gesture, and to a method to operate the same. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the mobile device comprises: a display part which displays a plurality of windows; a touchscreen panel which detects a touch input of a user applied to the display part; and a processor which controls the display part to transform a form of one of the windows when the touch input is applied to an area where one window among a plurality of windows is displayed.
