A remote controller, a receiving device, a remote controller signal transmitting/receiving method, and a remote controller signal data structure are provided to enable a HAVi(Home Audio/Video Interoperability) supporting remote control protocol to be applied. In an information transmission mode, a remote controller(100) generates a protocol message including information on a corresponding remote controller and information on a remote controller key, converts it into the signal format of a physical layer, and then transmits it. A receiving device(200) receives the message from the remote controller(100), interprets the signal format of the physical layer, discriminates information that needs to be stored and a message that needs not be stored by applying a previously defined protocol, and stores it in a memory(214) or changes it to an upper message. |
