A method for calculating a temperature of a material flow within a Coriolis flow meter using multiple vibrational modes is provided. The method comprising steps of calibrating the flow meter for each desired vibrational mode to determine calibration constants, determining a tube period associated with each desired vibrational mode, and calculating the temperature of the material flow using the calibration constants and tube period for each desired vibrational mode.
