PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for treating fluoride-containing water, in each of which the fluoride-containing water is treated stably to prevent clogging of an RO membrane and the amount of the chemical to be used before the treatment with the RO membrane and the amount of the sludge to be generated are reduced before the fluoride-containing water is treated with the RO membrane to recover desalted water.SOLUTION: The method for treating fluoride-containing water comprises the steps of: adding a calcium compound of such an amount to the fluorine-containing water so as to be reacted with the fluoride therein that the concentration of the calcium in the fluoride-containing water becomes shorter than the reaction equivalent of the fluoride in the fluoride-containing water by 5-200 mg/L as the calcium; subjecting an obtained reaction solution to solid-liquid separation; and treating the obtained separated water with the RO membrane to obtain permeated water. |
