PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus for monitoring capable of effectively determining, as a disturbance, a region changed by a headlight for which it is difficult to avoid a false report, and internally correcting unwanted detection before alarm generation, so as not to generate an alarm.SOLUTION: A disturbance determination section includes: a ferret diameter confirmation part for acquiring a circumscribed rectangle of a change region; a block division part for dividing the circumscribed rectangle into a plurality of blocks; a block contrast measuring part for computing a contrast value for each of the plurality of blocks; a light source position calculation part for searching for a contrast peak block on the basis of the contrast values and determining the block as a light source; a road area collation part for determining whether the light source belongs to a road area; and a headlight determination part for determining, on the basis of a predetermined condition, whether the light source is caused by a headlight. |
