PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for constructing a coke oven top capable of inhibiting gas leakage and excessive heat release.SOLUTION: The method for constructing a coke oven top includes a brick laying step of bonding a part of adjacent bricks with mortar at the time of laying bricks, and a mortar pouring step of bonding residual adjacent bricks with mortar at a later stage of a drying step after the brick laying step. The bricks are piled up while avoiding a prescribed region, in the brick laying step, and the prescribed region is used as a mortar pouring hole in the mortar pouring step. The mortar pouring hole uses a part of a boundary surface between a coke oven charge port brick and an infilling brick facing with each other as its inner wall surface. The boundary surface is bonded with mortar in the mortar pouring step. |
