PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device that can reduce heat-up time of a fixing nip part and prevent the occurrence of spark discharge.SOLUTION: A fixing device includes a heating rotating member 31 including a rotating body 41 that is in pressure contact with a pressure rotating member 32, a resistance heating element 42 that is located on the inner peripheral side of the rotating body 41 and configured separated from the rotating body 41, and a pair of power feed bodies 43 that are in electrical conduction with the resistance heating element 42. The resistance heating element 42 matches the rotating body 41 and a fixing nip part 33 in the longitudinal direction. At least one of the pair of power feed bodies 43 is configured by a movement actuator 54 to be movable along the longitudinal direction of the fixing nip part 33. The fixing device further includes a switching regulator 69 that changes a voltage applied to both power feed bodies 43 according to size information on a recording material P passing through the fixing nip part 33 in changing a position of at least one of the pair of power feed bodies 43. |
