PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for production of a liquid discharge head capable of high-accuracy patterning and having high liquid repellency and high durability against wiping.SOLUTION: A method for production of a liquid discharge head includes the processes of: forming on a substrate 1, a photo-cationic polymerizable resin layer 4 to be a discharge port-forming member; laminating on an uncured photo-cationic polymerizable resin layer, a layer 5 including a condensate obtained by condensing a hydrolyzable silane compound including that compound having a cationic polymerizable epoxy group, and that compound having a fluorine-containing group; laminating on the layer including the condensate, a water-repellent layer 6 including the hydrolyzable silane compound having a perfluoropolyether group; conducting a pattern exposure to the above resin layer 4, the layer 5 and the water-repellent layer 6; curing an exposure part in block; and removing an unexposed part to form a discharge port 10. |
