PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a low voltage to drive and obtain high transmittance in a liquid crystal panel employing a drive method in an FFS (Fringe Field Switching) mode.SOLUTION: A liquid crystal panel 10 has a first substrate 14 and a second substrate 27 arranged to face each other, and includes a liquid crystal layer LC held between the first substrate and the second substrate. The first substrate comprises: a plurality of signal lines 18 and scanning lines 15 that are formed in a matrix shape in a state where the signal line and the scanning line are mutually insulated; an upper electrode 24 in which a plurality of slit-shape openings 25 formed for each of sub-pixels segmented by the scanning lines and the signal lines and a protrusion-like electrode in a cross-section curved shape are alternately formed; and a lower electrode that is formed via the upper electrode and an insulation layer 23. The second substrate comprises: a light shield layer 28 that overlaps with the signal lines and the scanning lines in plain view; and a color filter layer 29 that is formed for each of the sub-pixels. |
