PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a graft copolymer capable of efficiently adsorbing and recovering metal ions.SOLUTION: In the graft copolymer, a graft chain having at least any one of structures of phosphoric acid and phosphonic acid is introduced into an ethylene-vinylalcohol-based copolymer. The ethylene-vinylalcohol-based copolymer preferably is a porous ethylene-vinylalcohol-based copolymer and especially preferably is a particulate porous body. In this case, for example, the average value of the major axis of pores formed on the surface of particles may be 0.01 to 20 μm.
