PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent conduction failure even if a contact conduction part between a conductor of a flat cable and a terminal of a connector receives vibrations and the like.SOLUTION: A flat cable connector includes a housing 2 equipped with a terminal 3 with which a conductor of a flat cable 20 is conducted in contact; a lock member 4 for positioning and holding a tip end portion of the flat cable 20 inserted in the housing 2; and a retaining member 5 fixed at both end portions of the housing 2 in an aligning direction of the terminal 3, and having a spring portion 5c pressing the lock member 4 to the housing 2 side. Both side wall surfaces 6a of an insertion portion 6 of the housing 2 in which the tip end portion of the flat cable is inserted are formed so as to decrease a clearance toward a deep side. A locking portion 8 inserted in a locking hole 23 formed at the tip end portion of the flat cable is formed on the lock member 4, and a locking surface of the locking portion 8 abutting on an edge 23a on a tip end side of the locking hole 23, is formed so as to tilt to the deep side of the insertion portion 6 from a tip end to a base portion. |
