PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for a base isolation mechanism, which can further exert a base isolation function with a simple configuration.SOLUTION: In place of an apparatus for a base isolation mechanism, which is supported by a conventional foundation and supports a supported body, an apparatus for a base isolation mechanism comprises: an air spring supported by the foundation and capable of supporting the supported body; a plurality of auxiliary tanks separated from each other and filled with gas of a predetermined pressure; and a plurality of communication pipes separated from each other and respectively providing communication between the air spring and the plurality of auxiliary tanks. At least one communication pipe of the plurality of communication pipes is not provided with a throttle element for increasing pipe resistance to the gas, and at least another communication pipe of the plurality of communication pipes is provided with the throttle element for increasing the pipe resistance to the gas.
