438,991. Windscreens for vehicles and aircraft. HUET, A., 27, Rue de Longchamp, Paris. Sept. 25, 1934, No. 27516. Convention date, Dec. 19, 1933. [Class 103 (ii)] [See also Group XXXIII] Resistance to motion of a material body through a fluid is reduced by deflecting the fluid meeting the body and sustaining it by a fluid stream which meets the deflected fluid at an acute angle, to create a mass of fluid moving with the body. In one form the fluid is deflected and sustained by a deflector b, d, Fig. 2. The portion d may be omitted and the deflector may be placed at any part of a vehicle. The air-stream G sustains the mass of fluid. Deflections having the crosssections shown in Figs. 5, 6, 7 and 8, may be mounted, e.g. in front of a locomotive.
