PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide wireless communication systems that do not degrade system performance.SOLUTION: During set-up of a traffic channel (TCH) for a communication session, an access terminal transmits a message, including both application-layer connection information and transport-layer connection information, to an application server over a signaling port to facilitate set-up of a data port for the communication session.
