PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of producing a fiber reinforced composite which has a desired shape and is excellent in mechanical strength, impact-absorbing property and lightweight properties.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for producing a fiber reinforced composite, the method comprising: a step of laminating a fiber-reinforced material impregnated with a thermoplastic resin or an uncured thermosetting resin on at least one surface of a foamed sheet to produce a laminate; and a step of softening a thermoplastic resin or an uncured thermosetting resin impregnated with the fiber-reinforced resin by heating the laminate to convert into a state having fluidity and then press-molding the laminate using a female-male mold in a state of holding the foamed sheet without holding the fiber-reinforced material of the laminate to mold the laminate.
