Socket connection process for use in e.g. window or door frames

A process for producing a socket connection for hollow profiled sections (2a,2b), especially metal profiles for window and door frames, comprises using a connection piece and a container which holds two components which react chemically to result in a volume increase. The two components (A,B) are held separately and are mixed in the closed container (4), which is opened at one end so that the reaction mixture expands and flows around the connection piece (1). The mixt. hardens and fixes the connection piece. The mixture is preferably e.g. an epoxy resin foam.
