PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a push-pull lock which can be unlocked by moving a projected latch member itself backward in a push or pull operation of an operation handle so as to enable a door to be opened without a resistance of the latch member. SOLUTION: The push-pull lock includes: a latch member 2 which has a latch head 2B attached to the leading end of a latch shaft 2A and is slidably supported on a lock case 3 in an extending/retracting direction of the latch; a pressing member 4 pressing the latch member 2 in a projecting direction of the latch; a trigger member 6 moving in forward and backward directions from a neutral position A by a rocking motion of an operation handle 5; and a rocking body 7 rocking by the longitudinal movement of the trigger member 6 so as to move the latch member 2 backward. Push interlocking means 8 for rocking the rocking body 7 backward by the forward movement of the trigger member 6 and pull interlocking means 9 for rocking the rocking body 7 backward by the backward movement of the trigger member 6 are provided between the trigger member 6 and the rocking body 7.
