<p>A rotatable cutting head (102) for a vegetation cutting device (100) comprises a rotatable spool (204) having a cutting line (116) wound thereon. A free end of the cutting line (116) is arranged to exit the cutting head (102) via an opening (216). A feeding mechanism (350) is configured allow the spool (204) to rotate and feed cutting line (116) from the spool (204) when the free end is shorter than a predetermined length. A moveable locking mechanism (220) is configured to move between a locking position in which the locking mechanism engages the feeding mechanism (350) and stops the feeding mechanism (350) from feeding the cutting line (116) and a release position in which the feeding mechanism (350) can feed the cutting line (116). A moveable eyelet (214) is mounted at the opening (216) for receiving the free end of the cutting line (116), the moveable eyelet (214) configured to move between a first position and a second position. The moveable locking mechanism (220) is coupled to the moveable eyelet (214), and the locking mechanism (220) is configured to move between the release position and the locking position when the moveable eyelet (214) moves from the first position to the second position.</p> |
