<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas straightening device allowing easy fixing of a deflector (straightening member) and an inflator and more surely keeping of a positional relation set between the deflector and a gas injection port of the inflator. <P>SOLUTION: This gas straightening device for an airbag is mounted in a vehicle. The gas straightening device includes the cylinder type inflator 122 including the gas injection port 134 for injecting gas for inflating and deploying the airbag, and the long deflector 132 having a substantially U-shaped cross section and mounted in the inflator 122 so that the mutual parts may be overlapped with each other.
