420,476. Valve circuits for wireless reception. NAAMLOOZE VENNOOTSCHAP PHILIPS' GLOEILAMPENFABRIEKEN, Emmasingel, Eindhoven, Holland. March 1, 1934, No. 6611. Convention date, April 29, 1933. [Class 40 (v)] The input to a detector, particularly the rectifying part of a diodetriode valve, comprises a resistance 7 in series with two equal but oppositely-wound chokes 8, 9. A condenser 10 short-circuits the coil 9 and resistance 7 for H.F. currents, the impedance of the remaining coil 8 being sufficient to prevent damping of the tuned signal-input circuit 12. The provision of the two reverselywound coils 8, 9 neutralizes the effect of any inductive " pick-up " from the supply mains. The rectified voltage across the resistance 7 is fed back through a condenser 11 to the grid 4 of the valve for further amplification. The coils 8, 9 are preferably mounted close together and screened. |
